Incomatic ("the app," "we," "our") is a take-home pay calculator for iOS. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Incomatic requests access to your device's location, with your permission, solely to detect your work state and pre-fill it in the calculator. Location data is used momentarily on your device to determine your state and is not stored, logged, or transmitted to our servers beyond what's needed to complete that lookup. You can decline location access and select your state manually instead.
To calculate your take-home pay, the app sends the figures you provide (earnings, pay frequency, filing status, W-4 details, state/county, pre-tax benefit elections, and retirement contribution percentages) to our calculation backend so it can compute your paycheck breakdown and return it to the app.
Signing in is optional and is used only to save and sync your calculation history; the calculator is fully usable without an account. Incomatic uses Sign in with Apple, so we never receive or handle your Apple password. When you sign in, our backend stores a record for your account containing your Apple user identifier, the display name you choose to share (Apple provides this only on your first sign-in), and account timestamps (when the account was created and last used). We do not store your email address. Sign in with Apple lets you keep it private (including via Apple's "Hide My Email" relay), and our backend does not retain it. Your saved calculations are stored privately against your Apple user identifier and are only accessible when you are signed in.
If you choose to build a budget, the app collects the savings goals and expenses you enter (name, amount, cadence, category, and any target date) along with the take-home figures from your calculation, so it can produce a paycheck-by-paycheck plan. This information is stored against your account like your calculation history, and you can edit or delete it in the app at any time. Generating a plan requires an AI service operated by Google; see "Budgeting and AI" below.
Incomatic's budgeting feature uses Google's generative AI (Gemini) to draft your plan. To do that, the values you have entered (your take-home pay, your expenses, and your savings goals, including the amounts you typed in) are sent to Google's AI service through our backend. Your name, email, and Apple user identifier are not included.
Incomatic does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. We do not collect your contact list or device advertising identifiers, and we do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Financial figures you enter are used exclusively to generate the paycheck breakdown displayed in the app and, if you are signed in, to save that breakdown to your personal history. Budget goals and expenses are used exclusively to build and display your budget plan, including the AI generation step you consent to. Location is used exclusively to pre-fill your work state. Account information is used exclusively to authenticate you and associate your saved calculations with your account.
We do not sell your data. Your inputs are transmitted to our own calculation backend over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. The one exception is the budgeting feature: with your explicit consent, your budget figures are sent to Google's AI service to generate your plan, as described in "Budgeting and AI" above. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple; your use of it is also governed by Apple's privacy policy.
All communication between the app and our backend is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. In addition, the salary and dollar amounts you enter are never written to our server logs, and (when you are not signed in) your requests are not associated with any persistent user identifier. Saved calculations are stored privately and are only returned to your own authenticated account.
Incomatic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy as the app's features change. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
